When bees take over the Larzac region

An apiary in the Larzac area
First apiary for the black bees native to Aveyron

On the Larzac plateau, a new gentle humming now accompanies visitors to the site. Three beehives have recently been installed there, in the heart of a preserved natural environment where thyme, wild lavender and meadow flowers grow freely. For the bees, it is a veritable little paradise.

Here, they can forage in peace and help pollinate local plants. A quiet but essential contribution to preserving the biodiversity and natural wealth of the Aveyron.

This apiary also promises a lovely surprise in the coming months. Thanks to the flowers of the Larzac region, these hives produce a local honey with unique flavours, characterised by the scents of thyme and wild lavender. An authentic honey that fully reflects the character of the region, and which you will soon be able to find in the shop at the Larzac area.

This is an initiative we are particularly proud of, and one that has also caught the attention of the local press, which has highlighted our commitment to bees and biodiversity.
